About Me

My ancestry in Lymington originates with two of my great grand parents who moved to the town in 1903.  They moved from Weymouth with 4 children.
Once settled in Lymington, they had more children ... one of them being my grandmother (Nan).  During the 1930s my grandfather (Grandad) moved south from Rochdale.  He fell in love with my grandmother and initially lived together with my great grand parents in a house in Quay Street, Lymington.  During the second world war my father was born in the same house.

My Mum and her parents moved to Lymington in the early 1950s.  Both my parents attended Priestlands school.

I was born in the late 1960s and have lived in Pennington or Lymington for most of my life (except for 2 years when I tried North Dorset country living).  When I moved back to this area, I started working on a self employed basis using the skills I have gained during my life.  I have many years experience of using and engineering computers including working in IT roles for large companies and Banks.  I have worked in PC and network design, management and hands on support and engineering.

I now use my skills and experience to work for local computer users.

I am a registered member of the Microsoft Partner Program.

My training and certifications are listed opposite.  I achieved my first Microsoft certification in 1998 (MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional).  Since then, further certifications have been achieved.

Of course, certifications are only a fraction of the whole picture.  The true value is in my years of practical hands on experience and friendly cost effective service.
